Ferrari has taken its high-performance SUV, the Ferrari Purosangue, a step further with the introduction of a new Handling Speciale package. Already regarded as one of the most capable performance SUVs on the market—what Ferrari prefers to call an “FUV” (Ferrari Utility Vehicle)—the Purosangue now benefits from enhancements aimed at sharpening its driving dynamics without compromising its grand touring comfort.
The Handling Speciale configuration focuses primarily on refining suspension behavior and transmission response. Engineers have recalibrated the active suspension system to reduce body movement by around 10 percent, resulting in a more planted and controlled ride. Gear shifts have also been made more responsive, particularly in Manettino, Race, and ESC Off modes, as well as during full manual driving above 5,500 rpm. To heighten the driving experience further, Ferrari has even enhanced the cabin sound profile.
Visually, the upgraded Purosangue distinguishes itself with subtle yet purposeful styling cues. These include newly designed diamond-cut wheels, carbon fiber side shields, matte black exhaust tips, and a blacked-out Prancing Horse emblem at the rear. A satin-finished Ferrari script and a dedicated interior plaque complete the package, signaling its exclusive configuration.
Mechanically, the core of the Purosangue remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 715 horsepower and 528 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission—now even sharper thanks to the update—the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.2 seconds.
Pricing for the Handling Speciale package has not been disclosed, but given that the Purosangue already starts at around $423,000 in the U.S., this performance-focused upgrade is expected to add a significant premium.
