In the ever-evolving world of automotive technology, Mitsubishi has consistently been at the forefront of innovation. Their commitment to pushing boundaries and redefining what a car can be is evident in their latest creation, the Mitsubishi 2024 XForce. This groundbreaking vehicle is set to revolutionize the industry with its cutting-edge features and unparalleled performance.

The Exterior Design :

Following the design principle of Silky & Solid, the new SUV seamlessly blends style and strength, embodying an authentic and powerful design that exudes sophistication and durability. This aesthetic is crafted to make a bold statement, whether navigating through bustling ASEAN cities or venturing into the great outdoors. The upper body boasts an airy and silky feel, featuring a floating roof and a sleek surface that starts from the distinctive three-diamond emblem at the front, gracefully extending along the sides to the rear. Meanwhile, the lower body embraces the robust proportions typical of an SUV, showcasing muscular fender flares that convey an athletic agility. The combination of a remarkable ground clearance of 222 mm, 18-inch wheels, and large-diameter tires enhances the SUV’s road-handling capabilities, especially on challenging terrains.

The front of the vehicle introduces an evolved Dynamic Shield front face, aligning with the overarching design concept. The left and right bumpers, serving as protective elements for the performance-symbolizing front grille, are seamlessly integrated in a three-dimensional manner, resulting in a sporty and depth-enhanced front profile. The LED daytime running lights adopt an L-shaped design with slitted accents, forming an iconic T-shape that not only makes the SUV unmistakably Mitsubishi from a distance but also emphasizes its broad stance.

Moving along the sides of the vehicle, the design incorporates rich, muscular surfaces, sculpted front and rear fender flares, and character lines, all working together to convey the SUV’s strength and dynamic presence. The rear of the vehicle, mirroring the front, features T-shaped LED tail lights, contributing to a broad and stable appearance.

Cutting-edge Ambiance Interior

The instrument panel follows the Horizontal Axis concept, designed to enhance forward visibility and facilitate easy tracking of the vehicle’s position on uneven terrain. The dynamic shape extends seamlessly to the door trim, creating an open and spacious environment.

Introducing a first for Mitsubishi models, the instrument panel is padded with a mélange fabric that provides continuous coverage up to the door trim, offering a sense of enclosure. This highly practical fabric not only exudes modernity and sophistication but is also resistant to stains, contributing to a comfortable space reminiscent of one’s own living room. The monolithic display panel integrates a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio and a digital driver display, embodying a cutting-edge feel.

Despite its compact size, the Mitsubishi Xforce boasts a generously spacious interior that allows all passengers to unwind during the journey. The front seats ensure top-class seating space, including ample shoulder room for enhanced comfort. These seats offer both support and comfort, preventing lateral body movement during maneuvers like lane changes or on bumpy roads, ensuring passengers can relax even in traffic.

The rear seats are thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable ride for three passengers. With a seating space that competes among the best in its class, the rear seats offer sufficient legroom for comfort. Additionally, featuring eight levels of reclining adjustment, the seats cater to diverse needs, from relaxing angles to maximizing cargo space, providing flexibility for various situations.

Driving Performance

The Xforce utilizes a high-efficiency CVT paired with a proven 1.5L DOHC 16-valve MIVEC engine to achieve powerful and sharp acceleration when the accelerator is deeply depressed. This combination offers a distinctive gear shifting feel, enhancing the driver’s sense of acceleration. Light acceleration results in smooth shifting unique to CVT, maximizing engine performance, ensuring low fuel consumption, and maintaining quietness. The system is designed to provide improved driving force for uphill climbs without heavy accelerator input, while engine braking is increased for downhill descents, reducing the need for frequent brake operation.

The suspension of the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce has been meticulously tuned for ride comfort on ASEAN roads. Extensive testing in Japan, replicating ASEAN road conditions, along with thorough tuning on actual ASEAN roads, guarantees a comfortable ride even on rough or undulating surfaces. Steering feel and straight-line stability are improved in the front, while steering stability is enhanced in the rear, optimizing caster trail, quickening the steering gear ratio, and adjusting suspension bushings and shock absorber cylinder size.

The Xforce boasts a class-leading ground clearance of 222mm with its 18-inch tire and wheel combination. The spacious field of vision at the front ensures excellent visibility, instilling confidence for driving on rough or flooded roads. Impressive approach and departure angles of 21.0 degrees and 30.5 degrees, respectively, provide a sense of security, especially when traversing pavement edges. With a minimum turning radius of 5.2 meters, one of the smallest in its class, the Xforce exhibits excellent handling, especially in the common U-turn scenarios found in ASEAN cities.

Featuring four drive modes, including the innovative Wet mode – a first for Mitsubishi models – the Xforce employs four-wheel control technology for its 2WD model. These modes (Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud) integrate Active Yaw Control (AYC), traction control, engine control, and power steering control to adapt to various road conditions. The Wet mode, a novel addition, enhances cornering and stability on wet roads during rain, reducing the likelihood of losing control of the steering wheel in sudden showers for worry-free driving.

Advanced Features

For the first time, the Xforce introduces the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium, developed in collaboration with Yamaha Corporation. This advanced audio system comprises eight speakers strategically placed throughout the vehicle. Front tweeters are positioned on the A-pillars on both sides, while woofers are integrated into the front doors, and coaxial two-way speakers are installed in the rear doors. To optimize sound quality within the car, measures have been taken to enhance speaker performance. Adjustments to volume and sound quality based on vehicle speed ensure passengers enjoy well-defined mids and highs, along with dynamic bass, even on rough roads. Adding to the driving pleasure, the sound system offers four selectable sound types – Lively (factory setting), Signature, Powerful, and Relaxing – catering to diverse musical tastes and moods.

The all-new Mitsubishi Xforce is equipped with a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio, providing a cutting-edge interface for a comfortable driving experience. Featuring a multi-widget function, the screen is divided into three sections to display various information simultaneously. The multimeter display, reminiscent of the legendary Pajero’s triple meter, combines data such as altitude, tilt angle, and direction, enhancing the joy of driving. Introducing Mitsubishi Motors’ first driving score function, developed in collaboration with Hiroshi Masuoka, a former two-time Dakar Rally champion, and WebLinkâ„¢ 5, users can connect their smartphones to project applications on the large display.

The digital driver display offers a clear view of diverse content on a spacious screen. When switching drive modes, a graphic indicating the selected mode appears at the center of the display, facilitating intuitive mode selection even while driving. Drivers can also choose between an enhanced mode with a cutting-edge feel or a classic mode with analog-like meters, depending on their preferences.

Mitsubishi prioritizes safety, and the 2024 XForce is no exception. Packed with advanced safety features, this vehicle offers peace of mind for both the driver and passengers. From adaptive cruise control to lane-keeping assist, the XForce utilizes cutting-edge technology to help prevent accidents and mitigate the severity of potential collisions.

Additionally, the XForce is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system and a reinforced body structure, ensuring maximum protection in the event of a collision. Mitsubishi’s commitment to safety is evident in every aspect of the XForce, making it a reliable and secure choice for drivers and their loved ones.
