One-Off Wonder: Gunther Werks Unleashes 840-HP Twin-Turbo 911 Speedster

Gunther Werks has unveiled an extraordinary one-off creation: a heavily reimagined Porsche 911 Speedster (993) known as “Project Endgame.” Built on the classic 993-generation 911 platform, this topless machine has been transformed into a twin-turbocharged powerhouse producing an astonishing 840 horsepower. Despite its dramatic finale name, the project doesn’t mark the end of the brand—it instead introduces GWX, the company’s new bespoke coachbuilding division.

Finished in a striking True Candy Red carbon-fiber body with gold accents, Project Endgame clearly draws inspiration from Iron Man and the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. The design cues go far beyond paintwork, with intricate interior details referencing Tony Stark’s high-tech world, including a suit-delivery-inspired element between the seats and a uniquely styled gear shifter with a tactile, mechanical feel.

Under the surface, the car is just as impressive. Its 4.0-liter flat-six engine, developed by Rothsport Racing, delivers 840 hp and 660 lb-ft of torque, revving all the way to 7,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, offering a raw and engaging driving experience. Motorsport-inspired engineering touches, such as a flat-mounted cooling fan and individual throttle bodies, hint at both performance pedigree and an aggressive engine note

Gunther Werks has kept the identity of the client private, though the level of customization suggests a deeply personal commission. As a true one-off—down to its unique engine configuration in a Speedster body—Project Endgame reportedly carries a price tag exceeding $1.5 million.

Whether the Marvel-inspired theme resonates or not, there’s no denying the sheer presence and performance of this build. With a lightweight construction of around 2,600 pounds paired with immense power, Project Endgame stands as a bold and unforgettable statement in the world of high-end Porsche restomods.
